Oneyda Perez, a recent graduate From DuVal High School, has been working at Chance Academy since 2022 as an administrative assistant. Compared to her recent public school experience, she sees some of the major differences between Chance Academy and public schools. She agrees with, and is passionate about, Chance Academy’s mission, is a strong believer of Chance Academy’s core values and loves working with the students. Oneyda currently teaches a  Spanish language class for the two youngest cohorts at the program. Oneyda is motivated every day to help the students become the best version of themselves. She says that when she is at Chance Academy, she “looks forward to seeing and engaging with the students.

“I love teaching them the Spanish language. It’s rewarding seeing them learn and grow.”
