MISSION STATEMENT

CHANCE Academy is an independent middle and high school (grades 6-12) that educates urban youth who seek an early college and college preparatory experience that will both challenge and support them in their desire to rise to their academic potential.

Through interdisciplinary academic and arts programs that emphasize hands-on learning and utilize the resources of the Washington, DC metropolitan area, CHANCE Academy provides students with the opportunity to expand their academic horizons and to develop the skills they need to succeed in early college and beyond.

The students of CHANCE Academy are encouraged to find joy in learning and to develop a sense of proud ownership of their education. By working in close partnership with families, the community, and local mentors/volunteers, CHANCE Academy offers the social and academic networks to ensure the best possible preparation and support of its students.
